Suntel to roll out CDMA2000 1x network

Sri Lankan cellco Suntel has contracted Sweden’s Ericsson to deploy an island-wide CDMA2000 1x network for voice and data services. The value of the deal has not been disclosed. The network is expected to be launched commercially in the second quarter of the year.
