DTAC profits up in 2004

Digital Total Access Communications (DTAC), Thailand’s second largest mobile operator, reported a 73% increase in profits in 2004 to THB4.48 billion (USD116.7 million) driven by a 24% rise in service revenues to THB37.7 billion and ended the year with 7.79 million mobile subscribers, up from 6.55 million in December 2003. In addition, the operator reported 63,135 net new additions in January to 7.85 million on the back of a successful promotional campaign.
