Pakistani mobile operator Paktel has revealed plans to extend its GSM network to over 200 cities in the country. In a statement on Monday, the company announced it had extended coverage to 17 new cities, adding that it now plans to expand the network to cover remote rural areas of Pakistan. Paktel says it has a network capacity of more than two million connections; it had around 410,000 subscribers at 30 September 2004.
