TRAI urges government to let go

The Indian telecoms regulator, TRAI, has requested that it be allowed to finance itself by charging all telecoms and TV operators an annual levy. According to its proposal, the TRAI would impose a 0.05% tax on all operators, allowing it to meet its costs.
