TDC takes control of Song from under Tele2’s nose

28 Oct 2004

According to the Financial Times, TDC has won its battle to control ISP Song Networks by raising its bid to SEK95 a share and announcing that it already owns 57% of the group. TDC has been fighting Tele2 over Song and its latest bid trumps the SEK85 per share offered by Tele2. The new offer values Song at SEK5.53 billion. The acquisition of Song will allow TDC to expand its position in the business market, an area which it considers to be key to its future growth.
