Unophone rural telephony project launched

Regulator the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has launched a new rural telephony project under the banner Unophone. The move is part of a scheme aimed at providing basic telephony access to all regions in the country with a population of more than 5,000 and establishing an internet point of presence (PoP) in every district.
