JT boosts revenues and income

Jordan Telecom Group has reported a 7% increase in turnover to JOD160.2 million in the six months to 30 June 2004. Growth was led by a 36% rise in turnover from its wireless arm MobileCom Net income for the period jumped 36% year-on-year to JOD 18.8 million. At the same date the company claimed a total customer base of 1.05 million customers, of which 61% were connected to its fixed line network, 38% were wireless customers and the remainder were internet subscribers.
