Cesky net income grows by almost 50%

State-owned monopoly operator Cesky Telekom has reported a net income of CZK3.3 billion for the first half of 2004, an increase of 46.3% on the same period of 2003. Revenues rose by 22.6% to CZK31.1 billion while EBITDA grew by 21.6% to CZK15.2 billion. The results include the full consolidation of its mobile subsidiary Eurotel, which saw revenues grow by 3% year-on-year to CZK14.6 billion. Its fixed line operations accounted for CZK17.4 billion of the total, a decline of 7% in the year.
