ADSL overtakes cable

At the end of March 2004 the number of ADSL subscribers in the Netherlands stood at 1.19 million, an increase of 24.7% in twelve months, compared to 1.04 million cable internet users. Wanadoo is the largest broadband provider in the country with 350,000 customers (163,000 ADSL and 187,000 cable), while former number one chello ended the period with 345,500.
