Government approves third wireless operator

The Kuwaiti Financial Affairs Committee has approved draft legislation which will see the licensing of a third wireless player to compete against MTC and Wataniya. 40% of the new company will be owned by the state’s pension fund, while a further 40% will be sold to the public. The remainder will go to strategic investors.
