Mobile operator MTC-Vodafone took its share of Kuwait’s post-paid mobile market to 81% at the end of 2003, claiming 57% of total market additions during the year. Its rival, Wataniya Telecom, on the other hand, remains dominant in the pre-paid arena, where it held a 53% market share. Pre-paid subscribers accounted for around 80% of total subscribers at the same date.
