LG and Nokia announce licensing agreement

South Korean mobile device maker, LG Electronics, has struck a licensing agreement with Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia for the Symbian-based Series 60 Platform, making LG the newest company to join the Series 60 licensee community, alongside the likes of Lenovo, Panasonic, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens and Sendo. The company will use the new application on top of the Symbian OS, to enable a compatible platform for its CDMA, GSM/GPRS and W-CDMA smart phones.
