KPN acquires HubHop

The Netherlands’ incumbent telco KPN has purchased the 49% stake it does not already own in Wi-Fi provider HubHop. The company will merge HubHop with its own operations and plans to launch Wi-Fi services under the banner ‘HotSpots van KPN’ later this year. KPN has pledged to increase the number of hotspots from 100 to 650 by the end of the year.
