Sneaky Sonera?

In a scandal which is rocking the country, Finnish police have confirmed that employees of former state owned telco Sonera (now TeliaSonera) violated the privacy of thousands of coworkers by eavesdropping on phone calls and snooping into e-mails. The National Bureau of Investigation is reported to have found that during the course of 2000 and 2001 Sonera employees monitored the conversations of over 100 employees in a bid to identify the source of leaks of negative information about the company. The scandal has sent shock waves across the country, which is well known for its impeccable business practices.
