Two legs, a couple wings, corn bread and some internet access please! Internet in KFC’s ?

2 Jul 2003

Cesky Telecom is introducing Wi-Fi to selected KFC restaurants in a pilot program giving fast food customers free wireless internet access. The program has launched 42 wireless access points (hot spots) across the country, where customers can appreciate the added convenience of a 256 kbps wireless internet connection whilst enjoying their meal. KFC officials stated they hope to bring the service into many more of their restaurants. Cesky Telecom is extending the duration of the program until the end of September, in the hope that the free service will stimulate public interest in its Wi-Fi hardware.
