Elisa reports stable financial position after Q1

Finnish telco <b>Elisa Corporation</b> reported revenue of EUR371 million in the three months to 31 March 2003, compared with EUR384 million for the corresponding period of 2002. EBITDA improved marginally from EUR78 million to EUR85 million, while the company’s loss before extraordinary items and taxes narrowed from EUR25 million to EUR5 million. By the end of the review period net debt had increased from EUR757 million to EUR767 million. Elisa CEO Matti Mattheiszen expects a moderate improvement in performance for the remainder of 2003.
