The Global Traffic Map depicts voice traffic flows on the world’s largest international calling routes. Accompanying figures and tables provide valuable insight into regional traffic flows, price and revenue trends, top calling destinations, the impact of mobiles on the international voice market, and the scale of Skype.
The Global Traffic Map, which is based on data from our TeleGeography Report research, illustrates the key voice minute traffic flows between countries.
Main projection
The main projection shows voice traffic flows on routes with more than 100 million minutes of bilateral traffic in 2008.

The map also includes four sets of infographics that further explain the state of the voice market.- Minutes & Volumes provides insight into the world’s top traffic destinations and global and regional traffic growth trends.
- Pricing & Revenue presents data on wholesale revenues and traffic by destination, a comparison of international traffic growth and price declines, and trends in US carriers average international call prices and margins.

- Routes & Connections illustrates the flow of traffic between the world’s major regions and volumes on the world’s 10 largest international calling routes.
The map is printed on Yupo, a high quality synthetic material, and measures 36" x 50" (0.9144 m x 1.27 m). The map is available flat and shipped in a tube (recommended for framing or hanging on a wall) or folded (for more convenient storage and transportation). Heat mounting is not recommended.
