19 Aug 2014

Equatorial Guinean WiMAX provider Guineanet has selected Altai to provide its A8-Ein Wi-Fi hotspot solution. The Wi-Fi system will use Guineanet’s WiMAX network in the capital Malabo and Bata, the country’s largest city, for backhaul. The solution will be used to provide Wi-Fi broadband to residents and businesses in the two cities. Dr Bill Wong, CEO of the Hong Kong-based vendor, commented: ‘We have a solid understanding of the African market and of Guineanet’s needs and challenges. We are happy to serve Guineanet and their customers while helping to drive economic growth in the region.’
