Smile signs capacity deal with MainOne

West African telecom services and network solutions provider MainOne has announced the signing of a long-term capacity agreement with Smile Communications, a supplier of 4G LTE broadband services in Nigeria. Smile has agreed to purchase capacity on the MainOne network to support its growth in the Nigerian market. ‘This project is an important example of MainOne’s commitment to bring high speed broadband access to Africa and we are proud to be providing international capacity to Smile Communications, thereby supporting their efforts in ensuring broad-based economic growth in Nigeria,’ commented MainOne’s chief sales and marketing officer. MainOne is owned by the MainOne Cable Company Mauritius, which was founded by Main Street Technologies and serves as the holding company for operational subsidiaries to deliver wholesale international services and land the MainOne cable in various countries.
