Mobilink launches 3G services

21 Jul 2014

Mobilink, part of the Russian-owned Vimpelcom group of companies, has commercially launched its 3G services, becoming the last of the four licence winners to activate its networks. The cellco’s data services are available in areas of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpundi, Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Hyderabad. Mobilink’s 3G offerings are currently limited to pre-paid plans, ranging from a free package that grants the user free unlimited access to Facebook, to its ‘Super Monthly Bundle’, which costs PKR600 (USD6.0) for 4GB of data, with unlimited free usage at 2G speeds after the cap is reached.
