Corporate telco Phonero acquires larger rival Ventelo

3 Jul 2014

Kristiansand-based Phonero, which offers corporate telecoms services across Norway, has struck a deal to acquire rival B2B operator Ventelo Norway. With combined revenues of more than NOK1 billion (USD162 million) on a pro forma basis, the enlarged entity seeks to position itself as the main challenger to Telenor, which currently dominates the corporate telecoms sector in Norway. The transaction, which is subject to approval by Norwegian competition authorities, is expected to conclude on 31 August 2014.
