Airtel 3G reaches all seven divisional capitals

6 Jun 2014

Airtel Bangladesh, which launched W-CDMA/HSPA+ services in October 2013, has announced reaching 3G mobile coverage of all seven of the country’s divisional headquarter cities, with the switch-on of the network in Barisal. Last month rival Banglalink also expanded 3G to all seven administrative division capitals, while Bangladesh’s largest cellco GrameenPhone has taken 3G coverage deeper, reaching all 64 of the country’s district headquarter cities by late-March 2014, less than six months after launch.
