The government of Kiribati has invited interested parties to participate in a tender for the sale of the assets of state-owned Telecom Services Kiribati Ltd (TSKL) which holds a monopoly on the provision of wireless, broadband and fixed line telephony services. The government’s State Owned Enterprises Reform Steering Committee has called for potential bidders to apply for pre-qualification by 7 July 2014. Only successfully pre-qualified bidders will be given information regarding the proposed transaction, as well as details of TSKL’s assets and business. Pre-qualified bidders will be announced by 31 July.
