Telecom Namibia confirms exiting Neotel minority holding

21 May 2014

Telecom Namibia has confirmed that it plans to sell its minority share in South African telco Neotel following the deal under which majority owner Tata Communications agreed to sell Neotel to South Africa’s Vodacom, part of the Vodafone Group. Telecompaper quotes Telecom Namibia’s chairperson Catherine Beukes-Amiss as saying that the ownership exit is positive as it will enable the Namibian incumbent to focus on its domestic market.
