TCIL prepares to sell stake in Airtel unit Hexacom

India’s Economic Times reports that state-run Telecom Consultants of India Ltd (TCIL) will shortly name a consultant to prepare an exit roadmap to sell its 30% stake in Bharti Hexacom, a majority-owned unit of mobile giant Bharti Airtel, according to TCIL managing director Vimal Wakhlu. Bharti Hexacom is a merged operating company of Airtel running mobile services in Rajasthan and Northeast circles, with over 19 million customers in the two regions.
