Vodafone increases LTE download speeds to 150Mbps

3 Apr 2014

Vodafone Romania has announced that it has increased the maximum theoretical downlink speeds experienced by LTE users across its 4G footprint, from 100Mbps to 150Mbps. Going forward, the cellco has already achieved downlink speeds of 300Mbps during test conditions, which it says will be made available to customers next year.

In terms of coverage targets, in the new fiscal year (April 2014-March 2015), Vodafone aims to increase its LTE footprint to cover 70% of the ‘urban population’. In addition, the company hopes to provide 4G connectivity to 100% of the urban population by March 2016.
