Rostelecom FY13 revenues down 2% y-o-y to RUB325.7bn

Russian national operator Rostelecom has reported consolidated revenues of RUB325.7 billion (USD9.0 billion) for the twelve months ended 31 December 2013, down 2% from RUB332.4 billion on an annualised basis. OIBDA dropped 6% to RUB113.3 billion, while net income decreased 27% to RUB24.1 billion. CAPEX for 2013 was reported at RUB68.5 billion, or 21% of the company’s revenue.

In operational terms, Rostelecom saw its wireline user base drop from 28.2 million to 26.5 million (down 6%) during 2013, while mobile customers increased from 13.6 million to 14.8 million on an annualised basis (up 9%). Broadband subscriber numbers grew 8% from 9.7 million to 10.6 million, while IPTV customers increased 38% to reach 2.2 million.
