Moldtelecom, which trades under the Unite brand, has reported 8.7% growth in its mobile revenues for the twelve-month period ended 31 December 2013, claiming that its Unite 3G service ‘saw the highest growth of revenues in the local mobile telephony market in 2013’. Further, the company has noted that its mobile subscribers increased by 14% year-on-year to reach 322,800 by end-December 2013, up from 281,100 one year earlier, thus increasing its wireless market share to 7.28%. In the period under review, subscribers using 3G modems also increased, by 72.5%, to 60,200 from the 34,900 reported in the corresponding period of 2012, with the company attributing the development to the launch of HSPA+ technology and the improvement of its 3G/3.5G coverage.
