17 Mar 2014

Shaher Trading, a multi-sector company owned by Yemeni businessman Shaher Abdulhak is considering investing in the nation’s under-developed telecoms market this year, the Yemen Post cites an official at Shaher as saying. The project is expected to be through the creation of a new company, although a potential partnership with MTN Yemen, where Abdulhak holds a senior executive position, should not be ruled out. Further details were not forthcoming, although the official claimed that the company would create thousands of jobs in Yemen, and increase the number of internet users nationwide.
