VivaCell expands LTE network to four new markets

The Armenian mobile operator VivaCell has expanded the coverage of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G mobile networks, launching services in the cities of Gyumri, Vanadzor, Dilizhan and Tsakhnadzor, while expanding its network coverage in the capital, Yerevan. The high speed network, which delivers peak downloads of 60Mbps, is now available to around a third of the country’s population, VivaCell says. VivaCell is 80% owned by Russian giant Mobile TeleSystems (MTS).
