MegaFon 2013 revenues up 9.1% to RUB297.2bn

Russian mobile giant MegaFon has reported consolidated revenues of RUB297.2 billion (USD8.2 billion) for the twelve months ended 31 December 2013, up 9.1% year-on-year. OIBDA for 2013 increased 13.2% on an annualised basis, to reach RUB132.6 billion, while net profit grew 16.3% y-o-y, to RUB51.6 billion. CAPEX for the year under review increased 4.2% to RUB47.1 billion.

In operational terms, the number of active mobile subscribers reported by MegaFon and its regional subsidiaries stood at 70.1 million as at 31 December 2013, representing an increase of 8.5% y-o-y. Of this figure, MegaFon’s domestic unit accounted for 68.1 million customers. Other MegaFon units include TT-Mobile in Tajikistan, Aquafon GSM in the Republic of Abkhazia and Ostelecom in the Republic of South Ossetia; the last two named regions being breakaway republics of neighbouring Georgia.
