Ericsson implements five-state LTE expansion for US Cellular

Ericsson reports that it has completed a 4G LTE network expansion for US Cellular and its partner, King Street Wireless. The expansion was part of US Cellular’s third phase of LTE network rollouts and covers cities in five states including Madison, Wisconsin; Portland, Maine; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and markets in New Hampshire and North Carolina. As part of the latest expansion, the Swedish technology giant provided the 4G access network including eNodeB LTE base stations based on the Ericsson RBS 6000 multi-standard, and expanded network capacity.
