Bolivia’s Entel to introduce LTE services in April

Bolivia’s state-owned operator Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel) is reportedly planning to launch a 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in April 2014, local newspaper Los Tiempos reports. According to the article, CEO Oscar Coca has suggested that the network could support peak downlink transmission speeds of up to 60Mbps. The executive also revealed that Entel’s average broadband access prices will be reduced by up to 60%.
