Three bidders for multi-band mobile licences

19 Feb 2014

Slovenia’s Agency for Communications Networks & Services (AKOS) has confirmed that three companies placed initial bids in the auction of mobile frequency licences in the 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz and 2600MHz bands by the deadline of 17 February 2014. AKOS said these three bid applications met all the required elements of the tender. The agency added that the auction will proceed ‘in the first half of April 2014.’ TeleGeography notes that Slovenia has four incumbent mobile network operators, Telekom Slovenije (Mobitel), Si.Mobil, Tusmobil and T-2.
