STC, Ericsson partner to boost mobile broadband services in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Telecom Company (STC), the country’s leading telco in terms of subscribers, has signed an agreement with equipment vendor Ericsson to deploy its triple-access SGSN-MME and Evolved Packet Gateway (EPG) platforms based on the Ericsson SSR 8000 family of Smart Services. The EPG will be integrated with STC’s 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to allow users to access high quality multimedia applications and broadband services.
