UPC to extend 200Mbps speeds to entire network by year-end

UPC Romania has revealed that it will extend its premium 200Mbps downlink transmission speeds to cover its entire network by the end of 2014, up from 24 locations at present, Ziarul Financiar reports. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, UPC launched its ‘Fiber Power 200’ service in nine cities in September 2013, namely Bucharest, Bacau, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Galati, Iasi, Ploiesti, Timisoara and Sibiu.
