O! widens network footprint in Naryn

28 Jan 2014

Kyrgyz mobile operator Nur Telecom, which provides services under the brand O!, has expanded coverage of its GSM network in Naryn province. The company says that in January it installed new base stations in the villages of Uchkun, Kulanak, Kuyruchuk, Ak-Tal and Dobolu, while network capacity in At-Bashi, Kochkor and Jumgal has also been increased. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that since launching GSM-900/1800 services in March 2009, Nur Telecom has continued to increase its network footprint in remote and rural areas of the country, and in July last year the cellco announced that it had signed up its one millionth subscriber.
