Gabon Telecom (Libertis) announces 3G, 4G rollouts this year

Lhoussaine Oussalah, the director general of Gabon Telecom announced at a press conference on 23 January that the company’s mobile division Libertis will roll out 3G and 4G mobile services in around six months’ time, according to a report by Agence Ecofin. The Maroc Telecom-owned operator, which currently provides 2.5G mobile services, is in the design stage for the planned 3G/4G deployment, looking to implement mobile data speeds of up to 150Mbps over LTE technology.
