Fixed telephony bills can be paid online by relatives abroad

23 Jan 2014

Cuba’s state-owned telecoms monopoly Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba (ETECSA) has announced that as from 21 January 2014, family and friends abroad are able to top up pre-paid accounts and pay for fixed telephony bills via the website www.ezetop.com. A minimum payment of CUC10 (USD10) must be made for the online service, although ETECSA states that if the deposit is more than the amount due, then the balance will be held as credit for future invoices.
