20 Jan 2014

Thailand’s telecoms regulator, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), has remained firm on its planned auction schedule for 4G licences in the 1800MHz spectrum band this September, despite the recent political turmoil in the country, the Bangkok Post reports. The newspaper quotes Settapong Malisuwan, vice-chairman of the NBTC, as confirming that the auction process rules, reserve prices and conditions will be considered by the watchdog’s telecom panel next month.
