CNT claims Claro obstructing base station expansion

13 Jan 2014

Ecuadorian state-owned telco Corporacion Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CNT) has filed a complaint with the Superintendency for Control of Market Power alleging that rival mobile operator Conecel (Claro) has committed anticompetitive conduct in preventing CNT from placing its mobile antennas in locations where the America Movil subsidiary already operates base stations, reports Telesemana. The case will be reviewed at the next Public Hearing on 15 January 2014 in the National Court of Justice.
