Cypriot investment firm snaps up InterZet; ER-Telecom linked to deal

Kangarian Investments, a holding company based in Cyprus, has reportedly bought out Perspective, the investment firm which controls well-known St Petersburg-based broadband provider InterZet. According to online portal Dp.ru, the value of the deal is estimated at around RUB3.5 billion (USD105.4 million), while industry sources have suggested that the deal has been conducted by Kangarian Investments on behalf of Perm-based cableco ER-Telecom. Outside of St Petersburg, InterZet also provides services in Yaroslavl, Chelyabinsk and selected locations in the north-west of the country.
