Israel’s DBS Satellite Services, which offers services under the ‘YES’ banner, has revealed plans to launch an IPTV service, with the company’s CEO Ron Elion having publically launched its ‘YES Go’ product. The service will see the broadcaster, a subsidiary of fixed line incumbent Bezeq, giving its customers access to broadcasts via the internet on tablets, laptop computers, and mobile handsets, according to Globes Online. YES customers that are already signed up to its video-on-demand (VoD) offer will receive the new service free of charge, while those without VoD will need to pay an add-on fee of ILS19.90 (USD6.57) per month. At launch YES Go will only be available to satellite TV subscribers, though the company has said that after a two-month trial it is expects to open it up to the general public.
