Frontier acquires AT&T assets in Connecticut

AT&T has announced that it is to sell its incumbent local exchange operations in Connecticut to Frontier Communications for USD2 billion in cash. The transaction includes wireline network assets and consumer, business and wholesale customer relationships, with AT&T retaining its wireless operations in the state. The deal covers more than 900,000 wireline voice connections, approximately 415,000 broadband subscribers and around 180,000 U-verse video customers.
