18 Dec 2013

Colombian state-backed broadband provider Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota (ETB) expects to pass 200,000 households with its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network by the end of the year, preparing the way for the launch of IPTV services in 1H 2014. ‘The final goal is to cover 85% of Bogota in the following three years’ NexTV Latam quotes ETB’s president, Saul Kattan Cohen as saying. The telco is aiming to extend FTTH coverage to 800,000 homes by the end of 2014.
