Nextel Brasil to take 3G to four new cities, paper says

US-based NII Holdings’ Nextel Brasil unit has reportedly announced its intention to expand its 3G footprint to four new cities, namely Sorocaba, Sao Jose dos Campos, Santos and Campinas. Telecompaper claims that the operator will target both business and residential users in the new markets, offering its recently launched ‘3G Smart 300 Plan’ for BRL99.99 (USD43.01) per month, including 300 local voice call minutes (to any fixed or mobile number), unlimited SMS to any operator, 3GB of data downloads, free local calls (fixed or mobile) at the weekend or overnight, and free Nextel-to-Nextel calls.
