Mississippi-based C Spire Wireless has announced plans to acquire B2B operator Callis Communications, which is based in Mobile, Alabama, and serves customers in key business markets across the south-east. Founded in 1999 as a paging services provider, Callis became a facilities-based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) and internet service provider (ISP) in 2005, delivering private branch exchange service and IP-based solutions to small and medium sized businesses throughout the Gulf Coast region.
