STI (Ceria) signs multi-year convergent billing and charging extension contract with FTS

5 Dec 2013

Indonesian mobile operator PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia (STI), which offers CDMA services under the banner Ceria, has signed a multi-year extension contract with global billing, customer care and policy control solutions provider FTS. In a release, FTS said that the deal will support STI’s bid to provide innovative mobile data services to customers in Indonesia – focusing on rural parts of the country, where it is trying to carve a niche for itself. The mobile operator, which has national coverage via a network operating in the 450.00MHz-457.50MHz and 460.00MHz-467.50MHz bands, has been using FTS’s ‘Leap Billing’ platform for six years. STI offers voice and non-voice services, as well as access to multimedia services in partnership with a multimedia provider. Launched in 2006, STI is a member of Sampoerna Strategic Group.
