T-Mobile Macedonia opens 4G network to end users

4 Dec 2013

T-Mobile Macedonia says it has enabled users to access its 4G network, initially only in some areas of the capital Skopje (Center Karposh Airport and K.Voda) and Mavrovo, although going forward it will be sequentially expanded to reach all customers in the Republic. In order to use the cellco’s new Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, T-Mobile customers will need a 4G-enabled mobile device, and a suitable SIM card. It notes that users who purchased a SIM before 2009 will need to replace them with new ones in order to take advantage of the faster service.
