Wataniya offers 4G for mobile handsets users

Wataniya Telecom Maldives has announced the commercial launch of 4G LTE services for mobile handset users. The company’s ‘4G Postpaid Platinum’ package is offering maximum download speeds of up to 15Mbps with a data allowance of 6GB and ‘unlimited’ on-net calls and SMS for MVR999 (USD64) per month. Wataniya unveiled its 4G network in April 2013 at the ICT Connect Expo, with the first mobile broadband package, ‘wNet 4G’, launched in June 2013 as part of the ‘Wataniya for Business’ portfolio for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
